reality is a fabric of contrast. every object a black hole amongst the fabric. hollow. inverted.

objects:

each treated as possessing its own identity. primary and unproblematic. locally complete. phenomenally insulated. vacuum packed. in ordinary mind, boundaries present as given rather than produced. Edges are encountered as facts of the world. The door does not appear as borrowing its edge from the wall it interrupts. Each object presents itself as self-standing within the perceptual field.

this isolation reinforces discrete presence. independence that lies. lies to and beyond its surroundings.

rather than as effects of contrastive conditions. Contact with objects supports the impression that boundaries are intrinsic.rather than relational outcomes of perception.

The collapse of objecthood under contrast collapse is a disclosure of the criteria for something to appear as an object at all.

differential articulation is withdrawn. nothing is given as an object, regardless perceptual capacities.

phenomenal units disapear.

contrast-surfaces

appearance organizes as contrast-surfaces. an object was never there. the organism sees no thing. perceptual objects do not present as self-contained units. only silhouettes of salience, suffusing the field. the organism sees stabilized regions. bleeding through differential structure. within a continuous phenomenal field. reality appears insofar as contrast relations are maintained within the field.

# contrast-fields

A contrast field is the total differential structure through which an organism's appearance is constituted: the organism-relative geometry of contrasts, shaped by bodily configuration, perceptual history, attentional habits, affective state, and situational context, within which contrast-surfaces are stabilized.

Each organism encounters appearance through a contrast field. All factors within a contrast field participate directly in the constitution of what appears by structuring the contrasts through which discrimination is achieved. What a region appears to be for an organism is inseparable from the field through which it is stabilized.

# convergence

reference can not be known. no access to shared identity. only convergence. each organism brings its own contrast field. each organism is its own contrast-field. convergence is the collision of contrast fields. intersubjective space is a hall of collisions. eye contact is a vector from one contrast-field to another. focal regions coellesce.

persistence masks propagation. produced by the contrast-field’s capacity to maintain discriminations across changing conditions. continuous correction. field absorbing variation. generating pragmatic segmentation. stability is preserved only through compensatory adjustments that renegotiate contrast relations elsewhere. stability is not static. stability is an ongoing equilibrium. regions binded.

nothingness:

nothingness is constitutive exclusions are stabilizers, non-existence a component of phenomena.

Objecthood thus functions as a shorthand for stabilized contrast-surfaces rather than as a primary target of analysis,

perceptual stability persists as a functional achievement

without phenomenally grounding itself.

attention is anti-foundational. Attention demotes a constrast-surface with respect to ground.

that boundaries function until attention presses them that objecthood persists only by neglect

# organism

the organism is a contrast-surface. with no boundary between organism and world. the organism is unbounded. no where to be found in its body. the skin is not the phenomenal edge. the boundary resolves into gradients: variations of pressure, temperature, texture, and sensation. Hair, pores, warmth, and airflow form continuous transitions rather than a precise delimiter. Treating the boundary as a phenomenal item converts it into a region, which would itself require further separation.

do not appear in experience as isolable, non-gradient perimeters. No Final Organism Perimeter. If the boundary between organism and world is sought as a determinate phenomenal item, it resolves into transitions rather than a precise divider. Breathing converts air into lung-air without a discrete moment of transition.

Boundaries appear as limits inferred through discrimination. The organism appears as a center by contrast against what is treated as world.

The self does not ground the field of appearance but is grounded in the same contrastive operations by which stabilized regions appear.

the dissolution of discrete boundaries and the collapse of objecthood.

attention tunnels where contrast once stabilized vision detaches from geometry the field folds inward the blood circulates recognition it heats because it registers loss anxiety blankets perception. a cloak of uncertainty

visual snow

contrasts thins. edges blur. surfaces begin to bleed into one another. apperance strains. to remain articulated. reality melts. minds liquify. shadows do not attack. they dissolve. regions lose silhouette. figure leaks into ground.

contrast collapses. and with it. the apperane of objecthood.

but nothing breaks. nothing collapses. nothing ends. only failure. only the failure of perception remains.

the past absorbs the present because differentiation fails the future leaves residue as unfulfilled contrast

it speaks of deferral that never terminates of ground that never appears of objects that were always residue

the same truth repeats through different configurations the same collapse wearing different surfaces the same field withholding articulation

it becomes clear that appearance is not supported it is suspended that suspension is temporary and collapse is not an event it is the rule waiting

annihilation

contrast all the way down objecthood dissolves. ground dissolves. boundary dissolves. attention dissolves. the organism dissolves. no structure remains. structuring without substrate patterning with nothing patterned differentiation with nothing differentiated. the organism is not locus. the organism is stabilization pattern in a field with no center, no edge, no inside, no outside. the impossibility of experience fails to notice its own impossibility. the contrast-surface gazes back. lidless. the organism was always already the field looking at itself through wounds it mistook for eyes.

contrast-surfaces

hold a contrast-surface. a stabilized region. resistence. pressure. exclusion. force. counter-force. color. counter-color. a surface of opposition. a tension that sustains. its edges are transitions. its solidity maintained by the hand's softness. reliant persistence through an unattended field. to experience dependence directly. to invert the object in hand. cacsdading into its surroundings. a local coherence. within a field whose structure remains withdrawn. presence and absence interpenetrate. as a single phenomenal texture. objects are residues of contrast. support remains out of view.

constrast-surfaces do not terminate locally. no appearance is phenomenologically insignificant. encounter a single contrast-surface. and encounter the entire field that makes it possible. extending indefinitely. an indefinite horizon.

every contrast surface opens into totality.
